Oh, How Amazing! The Poor Little Monkey Swam Across the Water Because He Was Hungry
Oh, how amazing it was to see such courage in someone so small! Deep in the heart of a lush green jungle lived a poor little monkey. He was tiny compared to the other animals, with soft brown fur and bright, curious eyes. Though he was playful and cheerful by nature, lately he had been feeling very hungry. The trees near his home had stopped bearing fruit, and the forest floor was dry and empty. Each day his stomach growled louder than the last.
One morning, as he sat sadly on a tree branch, he noticed something wonderful across the wide river that separated his forest from another patch of land. On the other side stood tall banana trees, their branches heavy with bright yellow fruit. The sight made his mouth water. But there was one big problem—the deep, rushing river between him and the food.
The little monkey was afraid of water. He had never learned how to swim, and the current looked strong. Yet his hunger gave him strength. “If I don’t try, I will remain hungry,” he thought bravely. Gathering all his courage, he climbed down the tree and stepped toward the riverbank.
Taking a deep breath, the poor little monkey jumped into the water. At first, he splashed wildly, scared and unsure. The river pushed against him, and he struggled to keep his head above water. But he did not give up. He remembered how he had seen other animals paddle, and he began moving his arms and legs steadily. Slowly but surely, he made progress.
After what felt like hours, he finally reached the other side. Wet and exhausted, he pulled himself onto the shore. But he had done it! He had swum across the river all by himself. Soon, he was happily eating sweet bananas, his hunger finally gone.
Oh, how amazing it was! The poor little monkey had shown that even the smallest creature can do great things when driven by courage and determination.
