Rose Wants to Wean Rina, But Rina Keeps Crying for Mama’s Milk

Rose Is Sick of Breastfeeding Rina Because She’s Bigger Now, but Rina Won’t Stop Asking for Milk

Rose sighed heavily as she sat on the couch, rubbing her tired shoulders. Every single day felt the same lately. The moment little Rina saw her, she would climb onto her lap and ask for milk again and again. It didn’t matter if Rose was cooking, cleaning, resting, or even trying to talk to someone. Rina only wanted one thing.

“Milk, Mama. Milk now,” Rina pleaded, tugging at Rose’s shirt.

At first, Rose thought it was sweet. Breastfeeding had always made Rina feel safe and comforted. But now things were different. Rina was much bigger than before, energetic and strong enough to run around the entire house. Rose felt exhausted trying to keep up with her constant requests.

“You’re a big girl now,” Rose told her gently one afternoon. “Maybe it’s time to drink from a cup more often.”

But Rina shook her head immediately. Her tiny face became upset, and tears started forming in her eyes.

“No! I want Mama milk!”

Rose felt trapped between love and frustration. She didn’t want to hurt Rina’s feelings, yet she also wanted her own freedom back. At night, Rina still woke up asking for milk several times. Rose barely slept anymore. Her body felt sore, and sometimes she became irritated over the smallest things.

One evening, after another long day, Rose sat quietly beside Rina and stroked her hair.

“Mama is tired,” she whispered honestly. “I love you very much, but Mama needs rest too.”

Rina looked at her silently for a moment. She didn’t fully understand, but she wrapped her little arms around Rose anyway.

That small hug melted Rose’s heart instantly.

Rose realized weaning would not happen overnight. Rina wasn’t just asking for milk because she was hungry. She wanted comfort, closeness, and reassurance. Even though Rose felt overwhelmed, she knew patience would be important.

So instead of becoming angry, Rose decided to slowly help Rina adjust step by step, hoping that one day her little girl would finally let go of breastfeeding on her own.
